What Have the Tomlinsons been up to?

This blog has really been a neglected mess...so sorry!  But, it is just not as easy as you think to do all this stuff..(hats off to you, Ali,  as your blog ROCKS!)  September was the 1st anniversary of Doug getting commissioned into the Navy Reserves.  Hard to believe that Doug is a Lieutenant in the Navy, but he has certainly enjoyed his adventures thus far.  Pictured is his medical group in San Diego where he attended Smith's Shooters and deployment training.  He would be the old fart in the back with the bald spot (oh, sorry DT, you can't see it with your hat on!)

Toward the end of September we joined brother Halzie & Jacque on a cruise to Greece.  We went as a gift to each other for our 35th anniversary, but we are soon celebrating our 37th (Dec. 28th....no gifts, please!) So, we journeyed on AZAMARA cruise line and it was great fun.  We visited many Greek Islands, Croatia, and ended in Venice. Fantastic trip and lots of good memories, along with about 10 extra pounds!

Hey everyone, feed me!

Easton and his Turkey Hat!
Veterans Day found us back in Boston to visit our MOST FAVORITE grandson, Easton.  He is an amazing little guy, and we are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy, and simply GOOD baby.  He is either smiling, sleeping or eating. We look forward to all of our visits to see him (and Ali, Jace & Rae).

Now, on to the next trip....
While Ali, Jace Rae & Easton headed out for Thanksgiving to Minnesota, Doug & I CONTINUED our travels and headed WAY south to Santo Domingo, DR to visit Jeffrey and see what his life is like there.  He is a 7th grade Language Arts Teacher at Carol Morgan School. We had a wonderful turkey day meal at his school, met his fellow teachers, attended his "roof-top" party to mingle with friends, and live the simple life of the DR.
As I wrap this up, simply because it is too much of a challenge at the moment, I will leave you with this:
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Today is Ali's 32nd birthday, and in honor of her, I completed this.  As you can tell, daughter, I still need lots of work, but the effort was made. Thanks to both our kids for making this 2011 such a wonderful & memorable year!  Lots of love...
